Mr. Ed Jacobson, thank you so much for your sacrifice to all of us. It is not fair or just, but it is something for which I am
infinitely grateful and will do my absolute best to ensure others are too.

Mr. Small, thank you so much for funding such a wonderful program. It has truly been life changing. I will never forget your insurmountable contributions in enriching our lives and the lives of the families we help. You have provided me with a lifelong lesson and memories of someone's past I would have never known.

Mr. Coddington, thank you so much for introducing me to NHD three years ago and for exposing me to a subject for which I did not think I had an affinity for! Without all of your help, I would not have been able to manage the work of this program. I truly enjoyed our trip this summer and meeting so many amazing people, including WWII survivor and Omaha Beach Master Mortimer Caplin.

Lynne O'Hara, Dr. Cathy Gorn, and the rest of the team, thank you so much for all of your hard work in dealing with the planning and logistics of this amazing journey. Your wonderful leadership and the experiences you exposed us to taught us all so much.

Mr. Perry, thank you so much for encouraging Mr. Small to be a part of this program. Without your help, the program would likely not have blossomed into what it is now.

Mr. Ombredanne, thank you so much for letting us into your home so we could experience what life was really like for Marie Louise-Osmont beyond the words of her diary.

My fellow 2014 Normandy Scholars, I had so much fun getting to know all of you this summer and will never forget the memories we made. It's a really rare and beautiful thing to spend just two weeks with people you just met and form lifelong friendships. We experienced a lot together, including overflowing emotion as we came to grasp the magnitude of our soldiers' deaths. Thank you again for an amazing journey. I hope we can reunion someday.
